Living Faith Theme 2025: Be/Bee
Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labour: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.
— Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
This year, our theme Be/Bee embodies the core story of who we are while reflecting our aspirations for who we strive to become. It provides an inspiring and adaptable framework to guide us as we introduce and weave our new school values into every facet of our learning community.

The ‘Be’ aspect of the theme invites every student, staff member and parent to reflect on their unique identity, potential and purpose. It encourages us to ‘Be’ adventurous, compassionate, purposeful and relational - Lutheran Education Australia’s ‘Free to Flourish’ traits that align with our vision for the holistic development of every student at Living Faith. It also challenges us to ‘Be’ open to new learning, deeper opportunities for collaboration and connections, and to authentic service opportunities.
The ‘Bee’ element draws inspiration from the remarkable teamwork, perseverance and harmony of bees. As a collective, bees demonstrate how individuals working together can achieve extraordinary outcomes - mirroring our belief in the power of collaboration and connection within our school. Our Bee mascot and logo symbolise this unity and interconnectedness, reminding us of the strength found in relationships and the profound impact we have when we connect with one another in purpose and support.
As a school that deeply values community, we emphasise the importance of collaboration and connection and believe we are truly Better Together. By partnering together as a school community, we are dedicated to our Mission and Vision of ‘inspiring minds, illuminating hearts, igniting service…founded on the love of Christ.’
This theme will guide us as we:
- Collaborate as a whole school community as we embed our six new Living Faith values in all aspects of all that we do;
- Celebrate our community as part of our 25 year birthday commemoration; and
- Connect with each other as we introduce The Resilience Project and practice GEM (gratitude, empathy and mindfulness) within our homes and school.
The 3 Cs: Collaborate, Celebrate and Connect.
I pray that God richly blesses our Living Faith students, staff, church and families during 2025. We certainly have many wonderful plans for the year ahead.
