Exciting News: Introducing a STEM Specialist Program at Living Faith Lutheran Primary School!
We are thrilled to announce that starting next year, Living Faith Lutheran Primary School will be introducing a dedicated STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) specialist program for Prep to Year 6 students!
This initiative aims to ignite curiosity and foster a love for learning among our students while equipping them with essential skills for the future.
STEM education plays a vital role in preparing young minds for the challenges of tomorrow. It encourages creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving - skills that are increasingly important in our rapidly changing world. As Albert Einstein once said, ‘The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existence.’ Our new program will nurture this curiosity, allowing students to explore, experiment and innovate.
Incorporating STEM into our curriculum aligns perfectly with the contemporary competencies we value at Living Faith. These competencies, such as collaboration, communication and digital literacy, are essential for success in a global society. By engaging in hands-on projects and collaborative learning experiences, our students will develop these skills while deepening their
understanding of STEM concepts.
As the renowned physicist Neil deGrasse Tyson stated, ‘The great thing about science is that it’s true whether or not you believe in it.’ Our STEM program will empower students to explore the wonders of science and technology, encouraging them to think critically and engage with the world around them.
We believe this program will not only enhance academic achievement but also inspire confidence and resilience in our students. As we embark on this exciting journey, we look forward to fostering a generation of learners who are not only knowledgeable but also passionate about making a difference.
Stay tuned for more updates as we prepare to launch our STEM specialist program!
Peace
